FAQs

How much do your service Offerings cost?

For each of my services I charge a flat, project-based fee.

The Complete Adviser Checkup begins at $2,500 and  increases depending on the number of advisers you are working with and the number of accounts I will be reviewing.

The Investment & Management Fee Review is $495.

The Adviser Statement Review & Reconciliation is also  $495.

My goal is to have my services pay for themselves in increased adviser services or decreased adviser fees.

For example, if you currently have $2 Million under management with a wealth manager and pay a 1% fee your annual fee is $20,000. My goal is to help you negotiate to lower that fee or uncover additional services so your adviser earns and deserves your annual advisory fee.

why should I work with you instead of my adviser?

I am independent and only motivated by you getting the maximum value out of your adviser relationship. While your registered investment adviser legally must keep your best interests in mind, they also must run a  business. Your adviser is capacity constrained and I am here to help you gain the confidence to be your own advocate.

What are your qualifications?

I worked at a registered investment adviser for over 10 years, most recently as a Chief Compliance Officer and Director of Operations.  During that time I also passed 3 exams to obtain my CFA designation and also worked with countless advisers to improve their operations. Before that I was a Mathematics Major. Before that I was on a robotics team. I love solving problems and helping people. I cannot wait to help you feel confident and knowledgeable working with your investment adviser.

HOW DO YOU KEEP MY DATA SAFE?

When we work together we will use a secure file transfer platform with military grade encryption for privacy. I also utilize multi factor authentication for the file storage system where I create your checkup report. I will never ask you to directly email me any secure information…and you adviser shouldn’t either! I am a big advocate of cybersecurity and stay tuned for a future podcast on keeping your financial data secure.

Why do you spell adviser with an “e”?

The Investment Advisers Act of 1940 was the federal rule created to regulate Investment Advisers. They spell it with an “e” and I think that is more appropriate.
