Radical Candor

While touted as a book for managers I think this is an excellent read for any human trying to communicate with another human. I find many of Kim’s recommendations particularly useful for framing conversations with your investment adviser. A great adviser will challenge you directly and care personally and that’s what we call Radical Candor.
Undiversified: The Big Gender Short in Investment Management

This is a wonderful read for new investors and industry veterans alike. Ellen and Katrina do an excellent job explaining the different roles available in investment management and tackle the wide range of issues and solutions for balancing gender representation in investment management. They are thoughtful in their approach and provide a clear manual on how to promote change in the industry.
Women of The Street: Why Female Money Managers Generate Higher Returns (and How You Can Too)
